Learning about the marketplace and consumer issues could see school students win up to $500 in the 2012 Buy Smart Competition.
Gaven MP Alex Douglas encouraged students to enter the competition to increase consumer awareness skills and become wise with money.
“This is a fun way for students to develop smart financial and consumer habits,” he said.
“Students are required to choose a consumer issue and target audience and then create an innovative way to present their issue to their targe audience.
“Programs such as this equip students with consumer knowledge, which is invaluable in learning how to avoid financial problems later in life.”
